A city found by the Radziwiłł family. The largest railway junction in Lithuania – even sparrows were black due to coal-fired locomotives in the city. There was not only a railway here but probably the only secret military airmail in the country. Radviliškis was the largest railway junction not only in Lithuania but also in Libau-Romny (Ukraine) railway line built 150 years ago.
Modernist Riflemen’s House in Radviliškis. The railway station water supply tower built in the interwar period. Modernist military barracks of Durpynas are one of the best remaining in Lithuania. And together with a historian Dr Nijolė Steponaitytė we will have a walk in now abandoned Linkaičiai artillery workshop. This workshop was a particularly secret object where weapons were manufactured, stored and tested. The route will be accompanied by the honorary riflewoman, contemporary Zita Urbonienė and the Saxophone Quartet of Radviliškis Music School.
