A statement in a birth certificate: “You were born in Elektrėnai, the city of light, the tomorrow of communism, the age of space... “

The first mono-industrial city in Lithuania, the centre of which is the Lithuanian Thermal Power Plant (project prepared by Teploelektroprojekt institute, Riga department, 1962). Through a window of the side entrance, you can see authentic frescoes depicting “the new man of the future”. Sailing, water skiing, springboard jumping, and other water sports at Elektrėnai yacht club Poseidonas. The first Ice Palace in Lithuania, reminiscent of Italian brutalism. The ruins of an American roller coaster in the former amusement park Vaikų pasaulis. The collapsing restaurant Perkūnkiemis, the former pride of the residents of Elektrėnai. The fire zone at the Elektrėnai shooting range and the famous three chimneys of the power plant, which are only preserved in the video footage.
