Both Virbalis and Vilkaviškis may not be the smuggling capitals of Lithuania, as Tauragė would be more likely to claim that title, but it is the second most criminally notorious region. Nearly everyone living near the border was carrying, buying or acquiring something, especially since the border was not very closely monitored.

This time your travel luggage is the Lithuanian national broadcaster’s (LRT) TV series „Stop juosta“ (“Stop Line”): together with the experts, not only we will explore, touch, learn about architecture and heritage but also sometimes slip through boarded-up doors or windows... Some buildings are gone... This is the message of the European modernist heritage of the beginning of the 20th century to a modern man. Modernism is a dialogue between cultures, search for identity, guarantee of success and progress. In the interwar period, not only Lithuania but also neighbouring countries - Poland, Latvia, and Belarus – were emerging. The new tourist routes will be interesting to find similarities and differences between these processes. Let’s travel together - hear, see, and experience.
