We were fighting for our language, we were striving for the Belarusian language. We underwent Russification. Everything was in Belarussian with Germans, we couldn’t understand, the enemy let us learn our language, then our own people came and it was forbidden. What do I think about Lithuania? After all, once we were one State, from one sea to another. You had the Reform Movement and protests, I remember, when the Television Tower was being stormed, my wife was on her knees praying for Lithuanians.

What if we called travellers archigrims? This time your travel luggage is the Lithuanian national broadcaster’s (LRT) TV series „Stop juosta“ (“Stop Line”): together with the experts, not only we will explore, touch, learn about architecture and heritage but also sometimes slip through boarded-up doors or windows... Some buildings are gone... This is the message of the European modernist heritage of the beginning of the 20th century to a modern man. Modernism is a dialogue between cultures, search for identity, guarantee of success and progress. In the interwar period, not only Lithuania but also neighbouring countries - Poland, Latvia, and Belarus – were emerging.
